Justice Nasirul Mulk to head LEC project committee

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has appointed Justice Nasirul Mulk to head a committee, which would ensure transparency in the Rs 450 million project of Lawyers Excellence Centre (LEC).
A 21-member delegation of the executive members of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) headed by the Association President Asma Jehangir had held a meeting with the CJP on September 23, requesting to nominate a judge to head a committee comprising the outgoing president and general secretary, incoming presidents and general secretaries and two prominent senior lawyers to oversee the completion of the project. Talking to Daily Times, SCBA Additional Secretary Saliheen Mughal said that the CJP had approved the name of Justice Nasirul Mulk to head the committee. He also mentioned that senior lawyer Munir A Malik and Abid Hassan Minto would be the members of this committee and all funds would be released regarding this project with the approval of the committee in future.
