Protest in KU over PhD degree awarded to Malik
KARACHI: Teachers and students at Karachi University (KU) protested against honorary PhD degree awarded to Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Geo News reported.
Teachers boycotted classes for two hours against it. The students also joined the protest.
General Secretary Teachers' Association KU Sakaeel Farooq said the protest would continue till cancellation of PhD degree awarded to Rehman Malik.
The students of the varsity also vowed to support teachers' protest.
It may be noted here that KU Teachers Society has been protesting against honorary PhD degree awarded to the Interior Minister for many days.
