‘Govt aims at reconstructing demolished schools’

LANDIKOTAL: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) aimed at reconstructing the damaged schools demolished by terrorists in the province, said Laiq Khan Afridi, a member of Governor KP Barrister Masud Kausar’s inspection team on education.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday, Afridi said the governors inspecting team visited government schools at Landikotal here on Wednesday to collect information about the damages and other requirements at governments’ schools in Landi Kotal.
He said that government was interested to repair and rebuild those schools, which were damaged in the on going militancy. Afridi, said that reconstruction work of 146 communal schools have been started out of the total 205, which he said would facilitate hundred of local teachers and class four employees in Khyber Agency. Another official of the education department regretted that six months back the NEAS project had been closed, which had supported the teachers to develop teaching skill.
