Pakistan values friendly relations with N Korea: Naek

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan enjoys friendly relations with Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), said Senate Chairman Farooq H Naek.

Talking to Korean Ambassador Ro Kyong Chol who called on Naek at Parliament House here on Thursday. The chairman said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto laid the foundation of friendly relationship between Pakistan and Korea, which consolidate with the passage of time. The chairman said that we are grateful to the government of Korea for its valuable support to Pakistan’s candidature for non-permanent seat at UN Security Council for the term 2012 – 2013. He also appreciated DPRK’s historical support on Kashmir issue in the United Nations. On the occasion, the Chairman emphasized the need to focus on enhanced Parliamentary exchanges and expand these relations into the people to people contacts, cultural and economic fields and hoped that the two countries will be able to increase bilateral economic and commercial cooperation through the enhanced exchange of trade and business delegations.
