Prominent legislators fail to submit statement of assets within deadline

ISLAMABAD: Over 400 legislators from the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies have not submitted statements of their assets as the last date September 30 (yesterday) expired, Geo News reported.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) sources said that 27 legislators from Senate, 95 from National Assembly, 123 from Punjab Assembly, 68 from Sindh Assembly, 27 from Balochistan Assembly and 85 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have failed to submit the statement of their assets.

Prominent among those failing to have submitted the mandatory statement of their assets within the deadline included KPK Chief Minister, Pervez Khatak, Amin Faheem, Shah Mehmood Qureshi , Javed Hashmi and Aftab Sharpao.
