Randhawa murder: Court grants 14 day physical remand of suspect
KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday granted the police 14 day physical remand of Kazim Abbas Rizvi who is accused in the murder of advocate Naimat Ali Randhawa.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Karachi police chief, Shahid Hayat had revealed that Rizvi who is said to be a worker of the MQM had been arrested for being involved in the murder.
The police chief said Randhawa’s killing was not sectarian but political and he was killed for pursuing the case of murdered Geo reporter Wali Khan Babar.
Randhawa a senior lawyer and leader of the PML-N was murdered in the Nazimabad area of Karachi last week.
