President urges NAB to ensure impartial accountability

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to ensure impartial and transparent accountability to guide the country out of the menace of corruption.

Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony of NAB trainees in Islamabad on Friday‚ he said the accountability bureau should strive to restore the confidence of the people in the system and institutions.

Mamnoon Hussain pointed out that the corruption destroys the very fabric of society‚ social institutions and undermines the value of work and dignity of human beings. Therefore all the concerned departments will have to play their role to curb this menace.

The president expressed the confidence that the newly inducted officers of NAB will maintain the reputation of honest and upright officers and discharge their duties with utmost honesty‚ professionalism and integrity to combat the menace of corruption.

He said the NAB officers should not get influenced by any other consideration but by the rule of law alone.

He hoped the NAB officers will utilize all their knowledge and analytical skills to ensure rule of law and further improve the performance of the National Accountability Bureau. (PPI)
