Farewell ceremony for outgoing CJSC held
RAWALIPINDI: The farewell ceremony of outgoing Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJSC) Geneal Khalid Shameem Wynne was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Monday.
The ceremony was attended by the three services chiefs and a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented a guard of honour to the outgoing CJSC.
Later while addressing the officers and troops at Joint Staff Headquarters, CJCSC applauded the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces in defending the motherland, be it a conventional or the unconventional threat. He reiterated that defence of the country is impregnable and gallant soldiers, sailors and airmen will not hesitate in making it even more formidable.
CJSC General Wynne retires on Monday after 42 years in active service.
