Appeal to reopen Zardari's Swiss cases not filed on time

ISLAMABAD: Swiss authorities rejected the appeal to reopen cases against Pakistan’s former President Asif Ali Zardari because it was not filed on time.

Law Secretary Raza Khan revealed that the Pakistani government had filed an appeal against the decision to close cases on June 2013. The decision to close the cases had been made on 4 February 2013.

The law secretary added that an appeal against the decision had to be filed within ten days and their counsel had apprised them of the decision.
