New anti-terror amendments first step to deal with terrorists: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that the new anti-terror legal amendments would be the first step in dealing with extortionists, target killers and terrorists.
“Fear of a strong law will deter these brutal acts,” the Prime Minister said in a meeting with Information Minister Parvez Rashid here at the PM House. The Prime Minister said, “We must ensure that our law enforcement agencies are supported through in-built and stringent legal measures.”
He said any gaps in the existing laws were being removed. “I will support all lawful actions of our law enforcement agencies to protect the life and liberty of the people of Pakistan.”
