President pays respect at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH)

MADINA: President Mamnoon Hussain Thursday paid respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH), offered nawafil at Masjid Nabvi and prayed for prosperity, progress and well-being of Pakistan and its people.

Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan and other members of the delegation accompanied the president. President Hussain offered nawafil at Riaz-ul-Jannah. He arrived here Wednesday night by a PIA flight to perform Hajj and was received at the Royal terminal by Madina Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman. Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammed Yusuf, Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan, Consul General Aftab A Khokher and senior functionaries of the Saudi royal protocol were also present on the occasion. President Hussain will leave for Makkah tomorrow for performing Umrah and then leave for Mina. The Saudi government has extended full hospitality to the president and his delegation, reflecting the warmth of the historic relationship between the two brotherly countries. app
