NAB chairman appointment challenged in SC
LAHORE: Appointment of chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been challenged in the Supreme Court, Registry Lahore. Petitioner, barrister Zaffarullah Khan argued in the petition that appointment of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry as chairman NAB was not as per law, because any bureaucrat of grade 22 could be appointed on this post after his retirement. He argued, government and opposition has appointed Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on this position before his retirement and all this has been done due to political compulsions with regard to save the personal interests of political parties. online
