Prime minister to present Pakistan’s viewpoint on drone attacks: minister

KARACHI: Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Saturday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will apprise US President Barack Obama of Pakistan’s viewpoint on drone strikes during his visit.

Speaking to Geo News, the minister said the important meeting between the prime minister and the US president would play a significant role in Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He said that the US and Pakistan had different viewpoints on some issues. However, the meeting would pave for exploring “positive ways”.

Rashid said the government had told US delegations that the drone attacks were against Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity and demanded an end to such strikes.
