Quake jolts parts of Balochistan, Sindh

QUETTA: Earthquakes of moderate intensity jolted different parts of Balochistan and Sindh on Friday.

Tremors were felt in Quetta, Khuzdar, Sorab, Sibbi and other adjoining areas. According to the Met office, the first earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was recorded at 6:12pm and its epicentre was 122 kilometres north of Turbat.

A second tremor of 5.6 magnitude was felt at 6:24pm and was located 60 kilometres north of Khuzdar.

Tremors were also felt in Sukkur and other parts of Sindh. Terrified people ran out of their homes to open places. agencies
