PIA post-Hajj operation fails to fly as scheduled
ISLAMABAD: With their new slogan “Come Wait With Us” Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched its post-Hajj operation with delays up to five hours, Geo News reported.
The sources said that flight PK-3902 with 300 pilgrims aboard was supposed to arrive at Benazir International Airport Islamabad five hours ago but was still sitting at the Jeddah airport, whereas another Lahore-bound flight PK-3202 landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport after a holdup of least 50 minutes.
PIA at least showed no discrimination as far as the ‘suffering’ of pilgrims and their relatives waiting for them at the airports was concerned as on board PK-3902 were also VIPs including parliamentarians who, by the time of filing this report, were probably empathizing with the pains of non-VIP travelers.
