Tremors felt in parts of KP
SWAT: Tremors were felt in areas of Swat and Malakand division in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on Saturday.
On Friday, tremors were felt in Sohrab, Khuzdar, Sibi, Quetta and surrounding areas in Balochistan. No loss of life or property was reported.
An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck the impoverished area of Balochistan on September 24 followed by a number of aftershocks measuring over 4.5 on the Richter scale which devastated over half of all houses in the area, killing at least 500 people and injuring over 1,000.
As many as 125,000 people were affected by the earthquake.
On September 27, an aftershock of the Balochistan earthquake registering magnitude 5 was felt in Awaran. The epicentre of the quake was in Ormara and its depth was around 10 kilometres. On September 28, a 6.8-magnitude aftershock hit the same area and killed at least 12 people. inp
