Pakistan and India must not indulge in recriminations: FOISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Chaudhry says Pakistan and India should not indulge in allegations and counter allegations regarding firing on the Line of Control.
In another interview with BBC, he said both the countries should resume dialogue in the larger interests of peace and tranquillity in the region.
He said Pakistan was strictly abiding by the ceasefire agreement on Line of Control and react only on the military actions of the Indian army.
He reiterated that both the countries should respect ceasefire agreement and find a way forward for durable solutions of all problems.
In another interview, he said Pakistan wanted to have good relations with all the countries including India and the United States. He added that elimination of terrorism would help maintain peace in the region.
In an interview, he termed the prime minister’s visit to the US as very vital and said it would help strengthen the relations and resolve important issues.
Chaudhry said Pakistan was confronted with many challenges like terrorism and its elimination would help maintain peace in the region. online
