PTI challenges success of 2 MQM MPs

KARACHI: The Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged the election victory of two more parliamentarians of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the election commission. On Tuesday, PTI member Saeed Afridi challenged the success of MQM MNA Iqbal Qadri in the election commission. Qadri was declared the winning candidate from the National Assembly constituency of NA-241, Orangi Town. Also, the victory of MQM MPA Dr Sagheer Ahmed has been challenged by Ahsan Jabbar of the PTI. Dr Sagheer Ahmed had won from the constituency PS-117. So far the election result of 29 seats has been challenged in Sindh, including those won by PPP’s Sharjeel Inam Memon, Agha Siraj Durrani, MQM’s Dr Farooq Sattar, Sajid Ahmed, Iqbal Muhammad Ali, Abdul Rashid Godil, PML-N’s Hakim Baloch and Irfanullah Marwat. Sharjeel Inam Memon’s victory from PS-50 was also challenged in election tribunal by Haji Khwand Ghulam of Pir Pagar’s Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F). online
