Role of third party necessary for settlement of Kashmir dispute: PM

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the role of a third party was necessary for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan.

The prime minister while speaking to reporters here said the resolution of the Kashmir issue was imperative for durable peace in the region.

Commenting on his meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the prime minister said he had discussed all issues including Kashmir with his counterpart.

During the trilateral summit the situation in the region was discussed and a peaceful Afghanistan was essential for peace in Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif said.

The prime minister added that British Prime Minister Cameron during the meeting declared Pakistan’s enemy as the enemy of Britain.
