NewsPPP candidate complains of rigging in PP-147 by-election
LAHORE: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) candidate Iftikhar Shahid complained of electoral rigging in the by-election on Lahore's PP-147 provincial assembly seat shortly after polling began early Sunday morning.
"They forced our polling agents out early in the morning," Shahid claimed while speaking to reporters.
The PPP candidate claimed that the not letting the polling agents in was in violation of electoral laws under which the by-poll was being held.
Shahid remarked that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had begun the day with rigging.
