Pakistan condemns Ankara bombings
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday expressed deep sadness over the twin bomb blasts near a train station in Ankara. According to reports, at least 86 precious lives were lost and scores were injured. “Pakistan condemns this heinous act of terrorism in the strongest possible terms. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the brotherly people and government of Turkey and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in this abhorrent attack,” according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office. Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations, the statement said, and added that Pakistan is certain that Turkey would overcome this scourge with its characteristic resolve and determination. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of dozens of people in blasts in Ankara. According to a PM House statement, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and commiserated with the people and government of Turkey.
