PM reaffirms support for uplift of Gilgit Baltistan

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that development and progress of Gilgit Baltistan was top priority of government.

The prime minister expressed these views during his meeting with Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman, who called on him here at the PM Office.

He reaffirmed that the government would continue to extend its support for the uplift and progress of the social sector of Gilgit Baltistan during the next five years.

The chief minister also apprised Prime Minister Sharif about the pace of ongoing development projects in different parts of Gilgit Baltistan.
