Kalabagh Dam a ‘political stunt’, says Qaim

CM Sindh strongly opposes construction of Kalabagh Dam
KARACHI: Strongly opposing the construction of Kalabagh Dam, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that raising the issue of said Dam is a ‘political stunt’.

Talking to media following inauguration of Jam Sadiq Ali Bridge in Korangi Industrial Area after its renovation, Qaim Ali Shah said, local bodies elections in Sindh will be transparent. He added that the provincial government was not interfering in LB election matters.

To a question, CM Sindh said alliances were formed against Pakistan People’s Party in 2013 general elections and also in the past, adding that such coalitions are not matter of concern for PPP and it will defeat all in the LB polls.

He snubbed the statement of NAB officer about distribution of government land among the favorites, and clarified that it allotted for residential schemes for low income people and industrial purposes.

Qaim went on to say that the wrongly allotted land has been canceled.
