Nawaz tasks Maryam to resolve party differences
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday assigned his daughter Maryam Nawaz the task to resolve an ongoing dispute between Faisalabad-based PML-N leaders Chaudhry Sher Ali and Rana Sanaullah.
Addressing a meeting, the prime minister expressed displeasure over taking internal party differences to the media. “Taking internal differences to public through media will weaken the party and will provide our opponents an opportunity to politically exploit these,” he added.
The prime minister had taken strict notice of brawl between Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Sher Ali and stopped the latter from issuing any more public statements.
Chaudhry Sher Ali, father of State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, had severely criticised the PML-N leadership, saying the party leadership was humiliating its workers using Rana Sanaullah.
Addressing a meeting to review progress on development projects in Punjab, the prime minister emphasized on equal development of rural and urban areas without any discrimination.
