Pakistan, Saudi Arabia initiate counterterrorism drill

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Monday started a two-week long joint training - Al Shihab – at Pabbi’s National Counterterrorism Centre near Jehlum.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the military drill would focus on the joint anti-terrorism training of the special forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
“The exercise aims at affording an opportunity to explore new avenues of cooperation to fight terrorism and enhance skills,” the statement said.
Mangla Corps Commander Lieutenant General Umar Farooq Durrani witnessed the joint-field training exercise and lauded the professionalism and hard work of the participants.
