Govt to seek review of SC decision on Urdu

ISLAMABAD: The federal government will file a review petition in Supreme Court (SC) against its decision for the implementation of Urdu as official language.
Advocate-on-record Rafaqat Shah has issued information notice to Advocate Kokab Iqbal whereby he has told him on behalf of the federation that the decision given by former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Jawwad S Khawaja on his petition seeking implementation of Urdu as official language is being challenged in the apex court and federation has appointed him advocate on record. He is going to file a review petition in the Supreme Court. In his exclusive talk with Online, Iqbal accepted and confirmed that the federal government is going to file a review petition in the apex court against its earlier decision on the implementation of Urdu as official language.
