US lauds Pakistan’s role in war against terror
WASHINGTON – With just few hours left from his meeting with US President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Vice President Joe Biden for a breakfast meeting, local media reported on Thursday.
According to details, the prime minister apprised Biden about the policies of the PML-N government, saying the country had made considerable economic progress in the past two years. The US vice president also commended the role of Pakistan in its war against terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar, adviser Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry.
