Fourth day of protests in IoK over killing of youth
SRINAGAR: Protests continued for a fourth day on Friday in different parts of Indian Occupied Kashmir over the killing of a young Kashmiri truck driver by Hindu fanatics.
Indian police had enforced curfew in several areas, including Srinagar city and Anantnag district, to prevent protests over the fatal petrol bomb attack on the local youth on October 9.
Senior Kashmiri leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Miwaiz Umer Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and others were also placed under house arrest to prevent their participation in the protests.
Geelani had called for protests after Friday prayers over the youth's killing in Udhampur.
