PM condemns Jacobabad blast

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday strongly condemned the Jacobabad blast, which claimed several lives and injured many others.

According to a statement issued by the PM House here, the prime Minister - who is in the United States on a four-day official visit - expressed deep grief and sorrow over the deaths and commiserated with the bereaved families. He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.

At least 20 people were killed and 25 others injured when a blast ripped apart a mourning procession in Jacobabad. Rescue sources said that the blast took place near Shershah Haveli, Lashari Mohalla of Jacobabad.
