20 suspects indicted in Youhanabad lynching case
LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Wednesday indicted 20 suspects for their alleged involvement in an incident of mob violence that resulted in the lynching of two men following twin suicide bombings on a church in Youhanabad earlier this year.
Hafiz Naeem and Babar Noman were picked up by an angry mob following the suicide attacks on Lahore's Roman Catholic Church and Christ Church in May. They were badly beaten and then burned to death in broad daylight.
Police later arrested 20 suspects accused of involvement in the lynching of the two men.
Conducting the hearing today, ATC judge Mohammad Qasim indicted the 20 suspects and summoned witnesses at the next hearing. The suspects have pleaded guilty to the charges.
