67 earthquake aftershocks recorded: NDMA
ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD) had so far recorded about 67 aftershocks ranging from 2.5 to 5.3-magnitude on Richter scale.
According to daily relief updates issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), satellite imagery and aerial photography/survey of the Pakistan Air Force indicated that no wide spread damages have occurred as a result of Monday's earthquake.
Provinces have been advised to carry out verification of damages/losses in their respective areas by Sunday. The helicopters has so far evacuated 55 persons, and carried 5,000 kilogrammes of relief items.
The NDMA has released 15,550 blankets, 8,750 tents 3,500 plastic mats, 14,000 tarpaulin shelters, 11 tonnes of food packs, 14 tonnes of bottled water and one generator set for the earthquake affectees.
