Being dragged in Imran’s divorce matter for no reason: Jahangir

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Tareen on Friday said that he is being dragged into divorce matter of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Reham Khan for no reason.

Talking to a private TV channel, he denounced speculation regarding his involvement in any way. He said that there is no productive purpose behind involving him in a matter that is personal to two ex-partners. Mufti Saeed, cleric who officiated the Khan’s marriage on January 8, said that he would protect divorce matter of the PTI chairman. At least Rs 1 lac alimony was agreed to by the ex-partners at the time of nikkah, he added.

Tareen said that he is in no way connected to the news that surfaced today. Sources privy to the party leader said that concerned people had given up efforts to bridge gap between Imran and Reham at least ten days ago.
