Unofficial official results pour in as winning candidates celebrate
KARACHI/LAHORE: In line with the rules and regulations, unofficial results of those seats for which voting took place today for the first phase of Local Government Elections in Sindh and Punjab, are being shared on Geo News since the embargo expired at 6:30PM today (Saturday).
Meanwhile, 774 candidates have been elected unopposed in both provinces.
In Lahore Metropolitan Corporation (LMC), four UC Chairmen have been elected unopposed, while in Sindh, 707 candidates have been elected unopposed in 472 union councils, 14 municipal and 54 town committees.
As the unofficial results pour in, winning candidates and their supporters across Sindh and Punjab are celebrating victories with full fervor.
Furthermore, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered re-polling in 2 UCs, 17 Wards in Punjab and 2 UCs, 4 Wards in Sindh due to various complaints.
