More people to quit MQM: Arshad Vohra

LAHORE: Karachi Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra predicted on Monday that more members of Mutahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will quit the party in coming days.

Arshad Vohra, who recently defected to Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) said in an interview to a local TV channel that the process has started and it will create a problem for MQM-P to hold the party together.

Vohra further said that he does not see MQM-P contest the next general elections 2018 as the party has remained unsuccessful in addressing the issues inside the party.

He said that each individual in the party is a group himself. He further said that MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch who was expelled by the party’s discipline committee for violating the party discipline had also confirmed the existence of two groups in the party.

Responding to a question, he said that Farooq Sattar had not been able to handle the party.
