US missiles kill 5 in Miranshah
MIR ALI: Suspected US missiles killed five terrorists in a tribal region near the Afghan border, Pakistani officials said on Saturday. Two intelligence officials said the strike targeted a house and a vehicle in a village near Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan. It was the third such attack in the area in 24 hours. The Haqqani network, a terrorist group bent on driving US and NATO troops out of Afghanistan, dominates the region. The strike came a day after a Pakistani Taliban suicide bomber killed 65 people in a Shia procession in Quetta. ap
