China again denies presence of its troops in GB
BEIJING :
China on Tuesday again rejected media reports about presence of its troops in Gilgit Baltistan.
Spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry Jiang You said here that during her last press briefing she had clarified about “the irresponsible report”.
“Such remarks regarding stationing of troops in northern Pakistan is completely groundless and out of ulterior motive”, said You while responding to a question.
She said that recently at the request of Pakistani side, China has provided humanitarian assistance to its neighbouring country.
Yu further explained that the material comprising life necessities for the residents of flood-hit areas was provided.
It was because earlier this year; she explained that the Karakorum Highway was blocked due to landslides thus “cutting off the links between northern Pakistan and the other areas”.
So at the request of Pakistani side, China has provided humanitarian supplies, she added.
