KP information minister hopes for US help in rehabilitation of affectees
PESHAWAR : Consul General of US Consulate Peshawar Ms. Elizabeth H. Rood called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain in the Officers Mess, Peshawar, says a press release here on Tuesday.
She remained with the Minister for some time and discussed on matters of mutual interest as well as on the losses and damages of the recent torrential rains and devastated floods in particular. Economic Chief of US Consulate Peshawar Ms. Constance C. Arvis, Secretary Information Azmat Hanif Orakzai and Director Information, Shuaibuddin were also present on the occasion.The Minister on this occasion appreciated the relief efforts of the US government in the recent floods and hoped that the US would extend its maximum support in the reconstruction and rehabilitation process as it had done in the past in the war against terror in Malakand Division. The US Consul General on this occasion assured that she would contact her government as well as world community to extend more support to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government which was badly affected by the recent rains and floods. online
