NCCP stages protest against Quran burning plan
LAHORE : National Council of Churches Pakistan (NCCP) staged protest demonstration against the announcement by Florida’s insane priest Terry Jones to burn the Holy Quran.Bishops of different churches and a large number of people of Christian community including women participated in the protest held in front of Lahore Press Club on Thursday.
The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed different slogans against the priest. They also burnt his effigy.
They strongly condemned the announcement to burn the holy Quran.
Addressing on the occasion, they said that Christians were living in Pakistan with all facilities and they have no links with such any pastor.
They demanded of American government to take strict action against him. app
