Karachi CCPO appointed as FIA DG
KARACHI: Karachi Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Waseem Ahmed has been appointed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director general (DG), according to a notification issued by the Federal Interior Ministry on Thursday. Separately, FIA Director General Zafarullah Khan has been appointed as the National Counter-Terrorism Authority chairman. Ahmed took charge as the Karachi CCPO in June 2008, after Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak was posted as the Sindh inspector general of police (IG). staff report
