Shahbaz cancels MPAs tour for Common Wealth meeting
LAHORE, Sept 12 (APP)- Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here Sunday cancelled tour of 10 MPAs to Nairobi (Kenya) for participation in a conference of Common Wealth Parliamentarians Association. The Chief Minister took this initiative to save the tour expense of Rs 6 million, which would now be spent on the rehabilitation of flood affected people. Shahbaz observed, “Due to the situation arising after the floods, we cannot afford such kind of tours and it is more important to spend this amount for the rehabilitation and betterment of the people worst hit by floods.” It is to mention that all the four provinces were invited to this conference, but Punjab Government regretted its participation.
