82,465 flood affectees in relief camps in Karachi
KARACHI :
The number of flood affectees in the relief camps in the metropolis is now 82,465.
This was stated by the Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister, Waqar Medhi.
He said that as many as 55 relief camps have been established in various parts of Karachi for the flood affectees.
Waqar, who is also spokesman of the Karachi Relief Committee, further pointed out that the flood affectees hails from Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Shikarpur, Ghauspur, Karampur, Jacobabad, Thul, Kandhkot, Khairpur, Larkana, Shahdadkot, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal and other districts.
He said that the affectees are being provided with food, clean drinking water and medical facilities.
Waqar said that the Karachiites and the philanthropists as well as other are actively participating in the relief and assistance and that such a spirit is appreciable. app
