Pakistan urges India to exercise restraint

 

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday strongly condemned the blatant violence by Indian security forces against Kashmiri people, which has claimed scores of innocent lives. Commenting on the current situation in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK), the foreign minister urged India to exercise restraint and instead of resorting to violence and procrastination, work towards finding a resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolution and aspirations of Kashmiri people. He expressed Pakistan’s unequivocal solidarity with the people of IHK. He reiterated that Pakistan would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the IHK people. app
