Sindh law minister urges flood-hit to acquire ‘Watan Cards’
KARACHI : Sindh Minister for Law Mohammed Ayaz Soomro has said appealed the flood affectees to acquire ‘Watan Cards’ from the counters established at all the NADRA outlets.Talking to various delegations here Thursday at office to discuss flood related problems, the minister said that the provincial government has expedited the provision of ‘Watan Cards’ in all the cities of the province.
The ‘Watan Card’ holders will be eligible for the government compensation to flood affectees.
“Peoples Party government is a practical party and doesn’t believes in hollow slogans,” the Law Minister said.
The provincial government has utilised all its resources to ensure maximum relief to the flood victims, Ayaz Soomro said.
Moreover, all the Peoples Party MPAs, advisors and office bearers at district level have been directed by the provincial PPP chapter to keep a round the clock vigil about the movement of flood water, check vulnerability of the canal embankments and relief measures being taken by the administration, he added. app
