We want to resolve issues with India through dialogue: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan want to resolve outstanding issues with India in a peaceful manner and through negotiations.
He was talking to reporters late on Thursday night on arrival here from Islamabad.
Qureshi said that when the Indian foreign Minister had visited Islamabad, he (Qureshi) had told him that both the countries had outstanding issues and among them occupied Kashmir was a very important one and Islamabad could not ignore this.
It is Pakistanis decision that it would resolve these issues in a peaceful manner and through bilateral negotiations and this is in accordance with our policy, he added.
Replying to a question regarding the prevailing situation in the Occupied Kashmir, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that situation in the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) is very grave and that it is deteriorating with the passage of time.
Since June quite a number of unarmed people including old persons, women and children have been martyred at the hands of Indian security forces.
He said that a peaceful movement is gathering strength in IoK.
Foreign Minister said that the concern of the Government of Pakistan is just.
He stated that the government of Pakistan deplores the use of force there.
Qureshi said that we understand that it would not be possible to crush this movement through the use of force.
He said that there was an impression that Pakistan fans trouble in the Occupied Kashmir but this has been negated today and the Indian media and the intelligentsia is admitting that this is an indigenous political movement and it was not easy to crush it nor it would be.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked India to respect the opinion of the people of Kashmir.
He said that our stand is that the demands of the Hurriyet leadership should be considered and given importance.
Qureshi said that Pakistan would continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir.
He said that Pakistan is a party to this the issue which is recognised by the international community that it is a dispute which is part of the international agenda. There are also Security Council resolutions which cannot be ignored. app
