US plane makes emergency landing at Chaklala
RAWALPINDI: A US military aircraft carrying 176 passengers made an emergency landing at the PAF Chaklala Airbase on Friday due to a technical fault, however the landing occurred without any loss of life as all the passengers and crewmembers remained safe. According to details, a US C-17 aircraft, which had been deployed for rescue and relief operations, was carrying 176 people rescued from flood-hit Skardu to Islamabad. The aircraft had to execute an emergency landing at the airbase due to a technical fault. All the 176 passengers and members of the crew were safe and no one was injured during the emergency landing. staff report
