Murtaza Bhutto to be long remembered for fighting dictatorship
ISLAMABAD, Sep 20 (APP): President and Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari Monday said Mir Murtaza Bhutto Shaheed would be remembered for dedicating his life to fighting against dictatorship. He stated in a message on the death anniversary of Mir Murtaza Bhutto who was gunned down on this day in 1996 in a conspiracy to overthrow the PPP government.The President said; Mir Murtaza Bhutto endured the rigors of exile, the assassination of his father when he was in exile and the uncertainty of life but never gave up his opposition nor compromised with the dictatorship.
The President said “Mir Murtaza’s killers might think that they have got away with murder but he believed that they would be exposed and punished. Nature has its own strange ways to ultimately expose and punish the conspirators and wrongdoers,” he said.
“May Allah bless the soul of Mir Murtaza with a high place in heaven and bless the souls of those were killed with him. May Allah grant patience to their heirs to bear this heavy loss”.
