Karachi bound PIA flight makes emergency landing
KARACHI, Sept 25 (APP): A Karachi bound PIA flight carrying 243 passengers from Toronto made an emergency landing at Stockholm's Arlanda airport for security clearance on Saturday.A spokesman of PIA confirmed to APP that all the passengers and crew members were safe and the aircraft was being searched after reports of presence of explosive material. He said the plane was at the landing strip at Arlanda airport of Sweden and police has begun search operation.
The plane was supposed to arrive at Karachi international airport in the afternoon, however, the arrival has been understood to have been delayed due to security clearance on the request of the aircraft pilot.
