Commander Azerbaijan Navy arrives on official visit
ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (APP): Commander Azerbaijan Navy Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov accompanied by personal staff officers arrived here Monday on an official visit to Pakistan. The Azeri defence delegation was extended invitation to visit Pakistan by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir.Later, Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov visited Naval Headquarters where he was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy presented him the Guard of Honour. He took the salute and reviewed the guard.
Admiral Noman Bashir introduced the Commander Azerbaijan Navy to Principal Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters.
Apart from holding detailed discussions on professional matters with his counterpart, Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov, will call on the Defence Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Air Staff.
He will also call on various high ranking naval officials besides visiting naval units at Karachi.
Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov was born in Sumgayit on August 8, 1959. Besides serving at different positions in former Soviet Navy he has also served as Operations Division Senior Officer, Caspian Navy Staff, Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander, Surface Ships brigade, Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief of Navy Staff and Azerbaijan Navy Commander.
He is married and has two children.
