Govt will complete its five-year term: PM

ISLAMABAD: The government will stay in power and will complete its five-year term said Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday, rejecting the impression that the government’s days were numbered. He said all ‘rumour-mongers’ would be disappointed to hear this. He said the government had requested the Supreme Court (SC) to defer the hearing of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case until a decision on it is review appeal. “The President’s case is already under review. It would be better if the decision comes first,” the PM told the media after his visit to the Railway Ministry. When asked whether the government will write letter to the Swiss Courts, Gilani said the matter was subjudice and he did not want to comment on it. app
