18th amendment hearing adjourned


ISLAMABAD : The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of number of petitions against 18th Amendment till Friday. Chief Jusitice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry said that when the constitution is in written form, the government, parliament, judiciary and administration has no value.

The bench hearing the petitions on 18th Amendment comprised of 17-members headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

During the hearing, senior lawyer Akram Sheikh said that amendments regarding Judicial Commission for appointment of judges should be abandoned.

Meanwhile, Juctice Latif Khosa said that amendment which was approved by Parliament cannot be abandoned by any court.
